The holiday season is here, and what a joy it is to celebrate all that comes with it – the festive music, decorations, holiday treats, time with friends and family, and the spirit of giving.
For some, school will be finishing today for the holidays – congratulations! For most, school will finish on December 22 – hang in there, only one more week to go, and you will be savouring the holidays into the first week of the New Year! Although the late finish to the year can feel a bit challenging, I always appreciated the peace and restorative calm after the holidays. It was also a good time to reflect on the successes of the fall term.
Fall is a wonderful time for students’ academic, emotional, social, and physical growth and success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of school teams. Successful schools are led by outstanding and capable Principals and Vice-Principals. Successful school teams comprised of teachers, Education Assistants, clerical assistants, custodians, and maintenance staff – to name just a few – are encouraged and supported by your leadership. Thank you for your great work!
