Nominations for the 2026 Board of Directors election are open from April 1 - April 15, 2026 at 5:00 pm.

2026 BCPVPA Board of Directors Nomination Form

All BCPVPA members are eligible to be nominated, and are nominated by two BCPVPA members. If you have any questions about candidate nominations, or the upcoming election, please contact sandra@bcpvpa.bc.ca 

The Board of Directors is comprised of active BCPVPA members who have been elected by the BCPVPA membership in annual elections. The BCPVPA holds elections every May for the vacant Board seats, and there are up to 12 members on the BCPVPA Board of Directors:

  • President: Two-year term, election held every second year for President-Elect
  • President-Elect, or Past-President: One-year term preceding or following the presidency
  • Ten Directors: overlapping two-year terms, generally five vacant positions up for election each year

The May 12-14 2026 vote will be for Directors of the Board.

FIVE Directors to serve two-year terms, 2026-2028
ONE Director to serve a one-year term to complete a vacancy, 2026-2027

The current 2025-2026 Board of Directors serves from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. 

The 2024-2026 BCPVPA President, Dr. Shannon Behan, serves from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026. 

Sid Jawanda, currently President-Elect and Principal, SD57 (Prince George), will assume the role of President on July 1, 2026.
