Support for Individual Members

The Directors of Member Support Services (MSS) have a wealth of experience in school and district based administration in BC, as well as training in negotiation, investigations, and school law. They are available to support members and provide guidance in a variety of areas relating to employment as Principals and Vice-Principals in the public sector. Discussions between members and the Member Support Services department are always held in strict confidence.

The following services and supports are available to individual members by the MSS Department:

  1. Professional guidance relating to educational leadership
  2. Contract reviews and guidance
  3. Teachers’ Pension Plan information 
  4. Formal representation and support for:   
  • Harassment and bullying complaints and investigation
  • TRB Complaints
  • Discipline or misconduct allegations and investigations
  • Terminations
  • Challenging meetings or conversations with senior management
  • Mediations
  • Liaising with senior management on the member’s behalf 
  • Contract reviews and guidance
  • Teachers’ Pension Plan information
