June 2025 -
The BCPVPA is very pleased to announce that twenty $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to students who are graduating from the BC public school system, and who will be proceeding to post-secondary education. Ten scholarships have been awarded to the children of BCPVPA members, and ten to other graduating applicants.
The 2025 recipients of the BCPVPA’s Student Scholarships are from all across the province, from both urban centres and rural communities. This year’s recipients have paired their significant academic pursuits with deep community involvement. Some have been leaders in sharing Indigenous history, culture, and language in their schools and communities, and others have focused on advancing anti-racism education, supporting mental health in schools, and leading community/global fundraising activities. The recipients are embarking on career paths that include education, trades, nursing and medicine, criminology, social justice, business, culinary arts, and engineering.
Each story introduced to our 2025 scholarship committee by the applicants clearly demonstrated their passion for learning and for their communities. We are grateful for the effort behind each of the submissions, and we wish all of the applicants the best in their future pursuits.
