The 2022 BCPVPA Connecting Leaders Conference was hosted by the Vancouver Island Chapters, and offered an opportunity for virtual attendance by groups and individuals. We welcomed learning session leaders:

Doug Keeley "The Power of Story" - How story impacts you, your practice, and your leadership

Carolyn Roberts “Listening to the Stories of the Land: Guidance for our Leadership Journeys” - How connections to this land can support a leadership journey

Kevin Lamoureux “Leaving it Behind: Decolonization, Reconciliation, and Education” - The commitment to reconciliation and how to commit to an even better Canada

Our Musician in Residence for the 2022 conference was Jesse Ruben, founder of The We Can Project. Jesse shared his music alongside student musicians, and discussed The We Can Project and its impact.

The 2022 Connecting Leaders Conference has concluded. We were delighted to return with our annual in-person conference with the theme Reconnect-Rejuvenate-Rejoice October 20 - 22, live at the Victoria Conference Centre. More than 400 BCPVPA members were able to gather in-person and virtually, to learn, connect, and celebrate accomplishments.

We will provide information about the 2023 Connecting Leaders Conference in the new year.

Our Story
At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers.

Supporting Local
Save-On-Foods is known for customizing its stores to best suit the needs of the neighbourhoods in which they operate. In each community, we listen to locals and provide the services they’re looking for. Save-On-Foods supports Western Canadian food producers by carrying more than 2,500 locally-made products from more than 2,000 local growers and producers.

Community Support
Supporting local communities is the foundation of the Save-On-Foods brand. Combined with our supplier partners, team members and generous customers, Save-On-Foods has donated more than $30 million to children’s hospitals, and contributes $3 million in donations to food banks across Western Canada each year. Save-On-Foods is committed to Going the Extra Mile for our neighbours in every community we serve, every day.
