The Humanworks Consulting Group (HCG) has worked with the BCPVPA to provide services through the Early Intervention Program to our members and exempt staff in the sector for the past eight years and will conclude their services to Principals and Vice-Principals and exempt staff with the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

HCG will continue to accept new referrals until June 15, 2026, through to the closure of those files. Any Principals and Vice-Principals or other exempt staff who are working with a member of the HCG team prior to June 15, 2026, will continue to receive support until their file is closed, to a maximum of three months.

For those requiring counselling support, there are district and community options available:

      1. Each district offers free counselling support through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Please contact your local Human Resources department for EAP contact information

      2. Review your specific coverage for psychological benefits by visiting the BCPSEA Benefits website: click MY PLAN on the top menu bar, and select your school district. Under (district number) Principals and VPs, you will find the details of coverage.

You may then choose to access a counsellor directly for video or in-person counselling services. To locate a counsellor, visit Psychology Today and use the BC Therapist Finder, or find services through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Each site offers options to select by city for a local counsellor, and to filter by areas of practice and the type of therapy.

BCPVPA members can contact BCPVPA Director of Member Health and Well-being, Rochelle Morandini for information. The BCPVPA is currently exploring other viable counselling services that may be available to support our members, and we will notify members once we have more information
