Looking for a broadened perspective, and a new way to share your voice?
Your chance to help guide the future of BCPVPA is here!

March 14, 2025

Greetings to all our dynamic leaders! If you have ever thought about making a difference in our Association, now is your moment. The nomination period for the 2025 BCPVPA Board elections is set from March 31 to April 14, 2025 and we are inviting you to consider stepping forward as a candidate for President-Elect, or as one of five Director candidates. This is more than just filling a position; it is a true seat at the table, and an opportunity to contribute your vision, expertise, and passion to help guide our organization into the future.

Board roles are at the heart of how we set priorities, make decisions, and represent our diverse membership. Whether you are nominating a colleague whose dedication and innovative thinking have inspired you, or are considering your own candidacy, please know that your involvement makes a difference. A Board comprised of committed and creative leaders can drive initiatives that improve and enhance our services to members, and ensure that our values resonate in every decision we make.

For those ready to take the next step, the nomination forms, guidelines, and timelines are available in the Elections tile in the member portal, My BCPVPA, and on our website at bit.ly/BCPVPAelections. All BCPVPA members are eligible to run for the Board, and can be nominated by two other BCPVPA members. The President-Elect role is a four year cycle, with the elected member serving as President-Elect July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. The member is seconded to the BCPVPA as President for two years, fulfilling those duties July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2028, and then serves as Past-President from July 1, 2028 to June 30, 2029. Directors elected to the Board in 2025 serve two-year terms, July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. This is your chance to help ensure that our Board reflects the collective strength and diversity of our province, brings fresh perspectives, and stays true to our Strategic Plan.

I encourage every member to consider putting your name forward, or encouraging a colleague to do so. The “why” is simple: active participation leads to effective leadership, and effective leadership drives positive change for all. We hope you will consider submitting a nomination March 31 to April 14, and join us in building a stronger, more vibrant future for BCPVPA.
