The BCPVPA Compass Leadership Academy is a comprehensive two-year Leadership Academy for new BCPVPA members, and BCPVPA members new to their roles. The program also includes specialized skill development for our members leading in remote and rural districts. 

Compass offers practical learning opportunities, and fosters a robust provincial network of early career Vice-Principals and Principals. Sessions focus on the fundamental learning of the early years in the role, the transition to leadership, building a decision-making framework, and developing a leadership lens through the BCPVPA’s Leadership Competencies for BC Principals and Vice-Principals.

BCPVPA members who started or will start their roles on or after July 1, 2025, can find the application link for the 2026-2028 cohort in the weekly eNews and the Member Communications folder in the member portal. Vice-Principals and Principals who will be starting their roles in the 2026-2027 school year can apply for the program concurrent with application for a BCPVPA membership.
