About Robyne
Described as one of the most sought-after, engaging, thought-provoking, and truly transformative international speakers and scholars in her field, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe is a multi-award-winning education and psychology instructor and resiliency expert. What sets Dr. Robyne apart is how she learned resiliency from the ground up, as a person who has experienced significant obstacles yet forged her come back. She lives in Peterborough, Ontario with her husband, Jeff, and their three children: Hunter, Ava Lesley, and Jaxson. Robyne runs on coffee, hiking, her pups – Apollo and Luna, historical fiction, and time with her family!

There is so much educational literature to read!  While diving into a book can be interesting and valuable, it can be difficult to both read and to reflect on your readings.

Book Clubs can allow colleagues to gather and not only share ideas about a specific book, but get to know one another, challenge each others’ thinking, find common ground and learn new perspectives. We were delighted to hold our inaugural BCPVPA Book Club in Fall 2019, as the PLD Advisory Committee hosted a monthly on-line discussion about Nuance by Michael Fullan.

Building on the success of our Fall 2019 Book Club, BCPVPA introduced a deep dive into short-form content with the Article Study Series for BCPVPA and Ontario Principals' Council (OPC) members. This Spring, we had four sessions over the course of four Tuesdays, each focusing on a different author and their work.

The 2021 Spring Article Study Series has concluded. Stay tuned for future events!
