There is so much educational literature to read!  While diving into a book can be interesting and valuable, it can be difficult to both read and to reflect on your readings.

Book Clubs can allow colleagues to gather and not only share ideas about a specific book, but get to know one another, challenge each others’ thinking, find common ground and learn new perspectives. We were delighted to hold our inaugural BCPVPA Book Club in Fall 2019, as the PLD Advisory Committee hosted a monthly on-line discussion about Nuance by Michael Fullan.

Building on the success of our Fall 2019 Book Club, BCPVPA introduced a deep dive into short-form content with the Article Study Series for BCPVPA and Ontario Principals' Council (OPC) members. This Spring, we had four sessions over the course of four Tuesdays, each focusing on a different author and their work.

The BCPVPA and the Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC) were delighted to co-host a Book Club series celebrating Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe’s debut book Calm Within the Storm: A Pathway to Everyday Resiliency. This series was hosted by BCPVPA President Darren Danyluk and OPC President Ann Pace.

The 2021 Book Clubs have concluded. Stay tuned for future events!
