Mentoring is a valuable process in which an experienced individual helps another person to develop their goals and skills through a series of confidential, one-on-one conversations and learning activities.

"It's like a day-long pro-d in a one hour conversation!" - Mentee

The BCPVPA Mentorship Program recognizes the unique experiences and challenges encountered by new school-based Principals and Vice-Principals in British Columbia. The program aims to cultivate a network of support and collaborative partnerships by engaging current and retired Principals as mentors, and matching mentors with newly appointed colleagues in districts different to their own. The application process for the next school year begins each June.

"The learning is reciprocal; the conversations are enriching; the relationship has enhanced my sense of well-being and professional efficacy." - Mentor

Mentor Applications

As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your wisdom and experiences, evolve your own thinking, develop a new relationship, and deepen your skills as a mentor.

Mentee Applications
As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to learn from your mentor, develop a supportive relationship, and deepen your skills as a school leader.

Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a mentee or a mentor. The BCPVPA acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Education for the BCPVPA Mentorship Program.
