Here are just two of the great workshops that will be presented at IDEAS

Unconscious Bias: Understanding Bias to Unleash Potential Workshop
Sanj Johal | Principal at Seymour Heights Elementary (SD 44) | Director, BCPVPA Board of Directors

Every day, school leaders work with increasingly diverse teams, families, and stakeholders. When the flow of information is intense, leaders and teams often act quickly and may rely on biased thinking. Unconscious biases are how our brains compensate when they are overloaded, but bias can also inhibit performance and lead to poor decision-making by teachers and administration in your school.

Cultivating Trust Workshop
Andrea McComb | BCPVPA Director of Professional Learning and Development

The ability to create trust is the single most critical competency needed today — and creating it is a learnable skill. This highly interactive session helps leaders to understand, explore, and strengthen the 4 Cores of Credibility ©.
