Children’s Healthcare Canada

Children’s Healthcare Canada will be hosting a pop-up event focused on climate change and kids. They invite healthcare professionals to join them as they explore the child health issues related to the environment and climate change and how the system can be better prepared to meet the unique needs of this vulnerable population. They will have three inspiring sessions with guest speakers Dr. Anna Gunz, Dr. Mary McCaskill and Catherine McKenna and the closing plenary session will be moderated by Catherine Clark.

IYMHL BC Educator Survey

If there are staff members at your school that work with Indigenous youth, please consider passing this survey on to them. This is a BC Educator survey for the Indigenous Mental Health Literacy (IYMHL) project; in addition to youth and Elder knowledge and perspectives gathered that the project has gathered through sharing circles, they have created a survey to hear from educators.

June 2022 Graduation Assessment Registrations – Due May 27: Schools should submit registrations for the Grade 10 and Grade 12 June Graduation Assessments through a TRAX data transfer and confirm them on the Online Graduation Assessment Register that is open May 10–27. 

Update to the Online Registry of Certificate Holders: Under section 79 of the Teachers Act, the online registry must contain the names of authorized persons (certificate and letter of permission holders), the current status of the certificate or the LOP, any record of suspension or cancellation, and any outcome related to a discipline process. Under section 80 of the Teachers Act, the employer registry contains information about current certificate holders. Note that to find discipline outcomes for former authorized persons, you will need to search the discipline database.
