Follow us on InstagramTwitterFacebook, and LinkedIn, and share our post to help create awareness of the important work of the hospital, and the impact on children and families in BC. See you in your jeans!

At the end of the month we will share our fundraising total.

BCPVPA Consortium Answers Call for Proposals

The BC Ministry of Education has partnered with the BC School Superintendents Association (BCSSA) to develop foundation management standards and training modules for school leaders. These standards and training modules will support school leaders in ensuring that they have the knowledge and competencies they need to create the conditions for student success, and will be a foundational framework that will complement existing leadership development programming in BC.

On March 31, the Ministry issued a Call for Proposals to refine curriculum for five of six foundational management training modules – with the sixth module being led by the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) – and to pilot the modules. Proponents were required to work with a consortium of organizations and/or institutions that demonstrate a solid understanding of BC’s K-12 education system, and expertise in each of the domains covered by the six modules.

On Saturday April 30, the BCPVPA’s consortium submitted our proposal to the Ministry and BCSSA. We are honoured to work with more than a dozen exceptional sector experts as part of our consortium, and we look forward to the decision regarding this project in the weeks ahead. If you have any questions about this project, please contact Kevin Reimer: kevin@bcpvpa.bc.ca.
