We would like to announce that 2021-2023 Board Director Read Jorgensen (SD61) will be retiring this summer. Read has enjoyed a 33 year career in public education, and shares that the best part of that time has been spent with colleagues in the important work that we do with students every day, and that it has been an honour to serve on the Board of the BCPVPA in supporting Principals and Vice-Principals across the province. The Board and staff of the BCPVPA are grateful to Read for sharing his voice and his time, and for the wisdom that he has brought to his work.

With Read’s retirement, the BCPVPA By-laws require that a by-election be arranged for a Director to join the Board for the second half of Read’s term, to June 30, 2023. The August 26 edition of eNews will confirm the timeline for the election. Please contact kevin@bcpvpa.bc.ca for more information.
