Funding Available: Call for Pilot Project Proposals

Supporting Principals to Address Challenges in Retention and Professional Support of French as a Second Language Teachers is in its final year of a 3-year pan-Canadian initiative led by the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) for all publicly funded English language school boards.

There is funding up to $ 7,500 available to school districts in support of elementary or secondary principal professional learning to pilot one or more strategies to support school administrators leading FSL programs.

Virtual Campfire Connections: Circling up with Educators from Coast to Coast to Coast

Join the Canadian Outdoor Learning Partners to learn, share and connect around all things related to outdoor learning. There will be opportunities to hear from partners and breakout into groups and discuss key things on your mind. Whether your a seasoned outdoor learning educator, or an educator taking their first steps outside the classroom, there will be some great takeaways.

BC Ministry of Education & Child Care News

Ventilation Funding: The Ministry is confirming that funding will be provided for ventilation improvements as communicated earlier in the year. A total of $0.8 million will be provided to independent schools through FISA and funding must be spent by the end of November 2022. Mental Health French Translation: A French translation of the Key Principles and Strategies for K–12 Mental Health Promotion in Schools document is now available on the erase website (at the bottom of the COVID-19 section). This document was completed by the Mental Health School Start Up Working Group, through a review of data and research on the mental health impacts of COVID-19 and literature on mental health promotion.
